What’s the difference between the Om Tara® Crimper and the traditional 2-step crimper?
The patented Om Tara® Crimper secures a crimp to beading wire with only one squeeze. It is the easiest to use and most efficient crimper available to beading artists.
When crimping, do you have to be sure the wires are separated, or is it okay if they cross by accident?
You do not have to worry about the wires crossing. With our patented crimping action, the wires are pinned inside the crimp, so it doesn’t matter if they are separated or crossed – one less step to worry about!
If the Om Tara® Crimping Pliers crimp any size or shape of crimp, why would I need/want the Om Tara® Dual Crimper?
All Om Tara® Crimpers function in the same way – one squeeze secures your crimp on the wire, and all the crimpers will secure size 1 – size 4 crimps. Even though they all function the same, some customers prefer one body style of crimper over the other; some like the idea of the two crimping spaces in the Dual Crimper doing two different jobs – small crimps go here, larger ones go there. Others like the ease of just one crimping space that you find in the Om Tara® Crimper and Om Tara® Crimper Cutter.
Here’s the difference between the three crimpers:
- The Om Tara® Crimper – secures crimps from size 1 to size 4 on any size wire.
- The Om Tara® Dual Crimper – secures crimps from size 1 to size 4 on any size wire, but uses two spaces. The back space secures the smaller crimps and the front space secures the larger crimps.
- The Om Tara® Crimper Cutter – secures crimps from size 1 to size 4 on any size wire, and also has a convenience cutter at the tip.
